What is the difference between taking oral vitamins and IV vitamins? Don’t I just pee them out?
One of the great things about IV therapy is that all of our vitamins used are water soluble. This means it is very difficult to overdose on these vitamins. Your body will take whatever it needs to perform optimally and urinate the rest out. However, this does not mean the effect on the body will be less effective. Our cells in the GI tract turn over at a very rapid rate and people can get stuck in a cycle of malabsorption and micronutrient deficiency. When high-dose vitamins are infused intravenously, the cells are exposed to a super high plasma level of vitamins. This helps push the micronutrients into the cells. The micronutrients have a restorative impact at a cellular level that can last as long as the cell lives.
